Full-time Live-in Private Chef (M/F)
We are seeking an experienced and talented Private Chef to provide exceptional, personalized culinary experiences for a family of four in Atherton, CA.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Chinese and English, with a strong ability to create and prepare customized menus that cater to the family’s unique preferences and offer a diverse range of culinary styles. Flexibility, professionalism, and a true passion for crafting unforgettable dining experiences are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
• Menu Planning and Customization: Collaborating with clients to design personalized dining experiences with diverse international cuisines, including Chinese and Malaysian.
• Meal Preparation and Presentation: Preparing high-quality meals with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, ensuring top-notch presentation for an upscale experience.
• Client Interaction: Maintaining strong communication with clients to understand their needs and providing friendly, discreet service in their homes.
• Kitchen Management: Ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety standards, and managing inventory and ingredient shopping.
• Event Support: Assisting with special events or intimate gatherings, offering catering services or multi-course meals.
Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years of private chef experience.
• Fluent is English & Chinese is required.
• Strong knowledge of various cuisines, Chinese and Malaysian is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to diverse environments and client preferences.
• Formal culinary training or relevant certifications preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and special events.
• Valid drivers license.
